  • Part 3: Paragraph Writing (25 Marks) – Writing a structured 8-sentence paragraph.

Part 1: Grammar & Vocabulary Tips

1. Verb Tenses

You must know the difference between the Past Simple (finished actions), Present Continuous (happening now), and Future Intentions.

  • Yesterday: I watched (watch) a movie.
  • Now: I am studying (study) for my test.
  • Future: I want to be (want / be) a pilot.

2. Forming Questions & Negatives

Remember the “Helper Verbs” (Do, Does, Did, Can, Is/Are).

  • Statement: He plays football.
  • Question: Does he play football?
  • Negative: He doesn’t play football.
  • Past Simple Note: If you use Did, the verb changes back to the base form (e.g., “He did not go,” NOT “He did not went”).

Part 2: Reading Practice

Practice reading this short text and answering the sample questions.
